Motivation and Self-Doubt

Happy Friday! Friday's are my favorite day because I know that the weekend is close and I get large amounts of fur baby cuddles. :) This week has been one of all sorts of emotions. I started off on-top of the world, than got semi sick, than I made a milestone in my coaching business that I wasn't sure I was going to be able to do.

We live in constant doubt, well maybe not EVERYONE, but I know I sure do. I am always nervous about choices and if things are right for me right NOW. Too scared to make the leap or chance at something due to fear. When I decided to become a Beachbody coach, I was so so scared. I am only a few months in and already met TWO major goals for my business. And I honestly feel I wouldn't have if I let all my self-doubt get in the way.

Don't get me wrong, I still have fear and doubts. But those are pushing me to PUSH myself further. To be the best I can at helping people reach their goals of being healthier and happier.. And by them reaching their goals,  I get to reach mine too. It's pretty amazing.

One of the many tools that has helped me with this journey is self-development. I used to believe that people who read "self-help" books or listen to podcats about making themselves better were weak. How awful is that? Well, after being part of an amazing team, I saw what these things were doing for them as individuals. How they looked out at life. SO just like with everything else, I jumped in. Now I can't stop.

I have always been a list person, but my lists were HUGE. Sometimes just looking at them could be a little discouraging. But after listening to Chalene Johnson's Podcast "How to build your Tribe". I learned to create two different lists. One that is just a brain dump of EVERYTHING I need to do, and a daily one that consists of 3 things that need to be done. Every night before I go to bed, I write down 3 things that I NEED to do the next day. These things have to be reasonable and achievable. I don't know about you, but crossing something off your list is very satisfying. I do this EVERYDAY. Guess what? It helps and makes me feel accomplished.

The husband showed me a great video about "Why Your Brain Hates to Exercise" and he goes into detail about how rewards and gratification works, and it is the same theory here.  These are actually methods which I use in my online fitness challenge groups.

I am also REALLY loving two books right now. The Slight Edge by Jeff Olson and The Organized Mind by Daniel J. Levitin. They're really helping me focus and learn how to look at things differently, and how to handle my anxiety.

I hope some of these resources are helpful to you guys! I know how it is to feel overwhelmed. and sometimes we just need a little help.

This time of year can be HARD to stay focused and I know I need to get my plan all sorted out. I will be starting my next online challenge group November 2nd! Let's all get ready for those holiday parties. Anyone want to join me? I have only a few spots left. I will be joining in along with you(I have a pretty dress that I need to rock).
