Weekend Recap #3

Hello Monday, you're my least favorite day of the week. I know it's not your fault that you're hated by the majority. I know some out there do love you. But guess what? I am not one of those people! But this weekend was sure beautiful and I will take that with me to concur today!

We went for many walks as it was just too beautiful to stay in the house. I can't believe that it is the middle of the month and we have no snow! This time last year it was already FREEZING.

Saturday I woke up early and had a bunch of errands to run. Had to do a Costco trip on the WEEKEND.
Looking like a hot mess, but completed everything before 10am! Costco, Michael's, and a special trip to get some Coconut Egg Nog!!

People often ask me what 2 weeks of grocery's look like. I am feeding two people in my house. One who eats triple the amount of food than I for his workout plan.

Our list: Chicken, Ground Turkey, Salmon, Lean Ground Beef, Lean Steaks, Gluten-Free Oats, Eggs, Greek Yogurt, Hummus, Asparagus, Mushrooms, Spring Salad, Kale Salad. Sweet Potato, Peppers, Bananas, Tomatoes and Avocados.

Dinner was broiled salmon and spring salad
Followed by a glass of wine and a Skype date with a Bestie in another province. It was her birthday, and being apart wont stop us!

Sunday was a little busy, or was busy but also chill at the same time. We went to Qdoba for the first time. I kept hearing it was like Chipolte. Since we don't have one of those in Winnipeg, but I have had it before and liked it. I was super excited to try!

I really enjoyed it! Will be back again for sure!

The afternoon is where things got busy/frustrating. Sundays are meal prep days in my house along with NFL Football. I watched the Packers play probably one of the worst games at HOME in a long time. Don't know what's happening with the Pack, but I hope some changes are made, because this is not GOOD.

Because I was just cranky for the rest of the day, the husband knew that putting up our Christmas tree would make me HAPPY! We had already planned on doing it, but after a not so good day, I said no. But he reminded me that it would make me happy!

AND GUESS WHAT IT DID!

I finished my evening by reading some of my personal development book. I actually already finished this book. But highlighted some things that I feel like I need to reflect on !

Question: How was everyone's weekend?

  2. Oh the Packer game! Was so disappointing to watch. I live in Green Bay right now and I feel like the entire town is in mourning today.
